Just, please, keep feeling and talking and drawing and sharing. There is no "it was only my pet" ...she was woven in your life in a quirky wonderful way.

So, so sorry. Pets dying suddenly is so awful. I judged myself so harshly when I had to put my cat down. Non-stop "Did I do the right thing?" loop in my head. I appreciate your words and can completely relate. I've also heard laughing is related to crying so sometimes we will laugh when it seems inappropriate but it is a natural response like two sides of the same coin. Glad laughing also gave you some relief from discomfort.
