More Words for Grief
This is a hard letter to write.
I was going to write a year-end list of some of my favorite things from the year, but instead I’m writing a much different letter. This is a comic about the loss of a pet. If that feels too hard to read, put this aside for now. I hope this art connects with everyone who is experiencing grief in this first week of the year.

I'm so sorry! Twyla was just a young one and such a sweet one and a fierce one and a chonky one. Thank you for helping to share the layers upon layers of grief. Dogs are the best best best and it's amazing that we get to learn from their love.
